Well after moaning about our drop of rain in October and November last week, having seen the news of my old stomping ground in Carlisle this week I think I'll stop my moaning. As they say there is always someone worse off.
The high winds over the weekend didn't deter everybody with a few hardy souls battling round on Saturday. We were fortunate not to get too much rain and having played in the West Yorkshire Alliance on Monday I have to say the course was remarkably dry. Steve and his team started the drainage on the carry on the 2nd on Tuesday and as mentioned in the previous greens newsletter a couple of holes maybe out of action over the course of the winter.

The Captain and I paired up with the Captain and President form Normanton missing out on the prizes on a count back. The Captain was the par 3 king parring all of them!
