When Is This Season Going To Get Started? 

We have had every season of weather this week. The ladies competition on Tuesday was called off - not surprising looking at the picture!

April Stableford

The April Stableford did get played on Saturday and yet again it was a couple of my top students in the prizes. Gordon Martin fresh off success with Antony Burrows, in the Sydney Groves two weeks ago, took top spot in division one with 40 points and long term disciple Martyn Robinson finished second with 38 points. Gordon reduced his handicap to 6 and Martyn is creeping ever closer to the single figures target. Division Two saw a three way tie with Andrew Jones, pipping Toby Brown and Bill Mutch all on 37 points. Bill stopped me on the range today to say that the new PING G irons he bought in February are the best clubs he has ever had - praise indeed.

Captain/Pro Challenge

It all came to an end on Wednesday when The Captain and I lost our undefeated record in The Captain and Pro Challenge, last year's winners Richard Brown and David Ellis proved too hot to handle in rather trying conditions - yet more snow and a dubious decision not to give The Captain a putt in the snow probably turned the whole match! Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it! We took another break at the 14th as it was getting tricky!.
