Freddie White Trophy

The early starters got the better of the weather on Saturday for The Freddie White Trophy and Bob Hartley held off his playing partner, inform Andrew Stead courtesy of a better back nine after they had both scored nett 72 to take the trophy. Eddie Pegrum finished third also carding a nett 72. 

Ladies Medal

In the ladies medal on Tuesday it was Lady Captain Didi, continuing her good form and taking top spot after winning the Molly Thompson trophy earlier in the month.

The Ryder Cup

So Captain Darren Clarke has finalised his team for the Ryder Cup - what do you think? Should he have picked his best buddy Lee Westwood? Should Russell Knox have shown a little more commitment to playing rather than resting for the Fed-Ex? Personally I feel sorry for Knox but think in the same position I would have picked Westwood. Whenever he has been picked as a wildcard he has been the biggest point winner for the European team. Anyway in 31 days we'll all know if he did the right or wrong thing, one thing for certain I can't wait.

The Hudson Trophy

I have sent Eddie to represent Moortown in The Hudson Trophy at South Herts this weekend with it being my wife's 50th birthday I thought I better stay home! Eddie will partner Marcus Shepherd on his first Hudson Trophy and Andy Jones is partnering Scott Harrison. I wish them all the best and hope the greens aren't too quick guys!

Autumn Medal

There are a few spaces available for the Autumn Medal on Saturday if you would like us to enter you please call the shop. Can I please ask that when you play in a competition it is imperative that you enter your score onto the PSI terminal in the foyer as soon as you finish play? 

On numerous occasions we are chasing around for unentered and unreturned cards, making it difficult to close the competition efficiently - your co-operation is greatly appreciated.
