Pinehurst Greensomes
It was tight at the top of the leaderboard for the Pinehurst Greensomes on Saturday with four pairs tied on 55.5 over 16 holes.
Adam Dewhirst & Eddie Binks, Steve Batty & Jason Child, Keith Williams & Jeff Barnett and Chris Smart & Robert Westmoreland were all pipped by the eventual winners, Stuart Santon and Neil Preston who managed a great score of 54.5 - 10 pars and a birdie when one of the team plays off 24 handicap is always going to take some beating. Well played guys.
The Winter Order of Merit is hotting up nicely with three more competitions to be played during February. Division one is very tight with a number of people in the mix, but a strong finish from anyone in division two could see them fly up the leaderboard.

Knockout Competitions
Many of you still haven't entered this year's knockout competitions, remember that we are starting early this year and the closing date for entries is the 6th March. A reminder there are three to enter, the Lawson Brown individual singles off handicap, The MacKenzie four ball better ball off handicap and The Calvert Rose Bowl mixed foursomes off handicap.
Clearance sale
This week's clearance sale in the shop sees a fantastic £40 trade in for your old golf bag, that's right £40 when you buy a new bag this week only.
We have both trolley and carry bags from PING and Titleist, so start the season off in style with a bargain.
We also have a fantastic waterproof clearance sale with up to 70% OFF some waterproofs.
There are odd jackets and trousers and full suits all with waterproof guarantees so again there has never been a better time to grab a bargain.
Callaway Epic
We have the fitting clubs in stock - The Callaway Big Bertha Epic range of woods. As I reported a couple of weeks ago Eddie has taken it out and ordered one, and then a certain world no.2 followed suit and popped a rib smashing the ball 392 yards on the first hole in South Africa!
There is a lot of hype from any of the big manufacturers when they launch a new driver but the new Epic does seem to be performing, pop along and book a fitting and see if we can find the 11 extra yards that independent tests this week have found.
