Modernising Golf's Rules
Last week the R&A proposed some key changes to the Rules of Golf from 2019. Their Rules Modernisation initiative has been underway for a few years now and this is the next stage in that process. The aim is to not only make the Rules easier to understand, but also to address some of the game's current problems, such as speed of play, and ensure they fit the needs of today's game.
Please spare a couple of minutes to complete our survey, which gives you the chance to have your say on the proposed changes.
We've picked out some of the most significant Rules changes for you to digest in this survey, before giving you the chance to say whether you agree or disagree with each of them. It'll be great to know your thoughts.

Five Club competition
A steady downpour for most of Friday night meant for the second year running the course was closed for the five club competition. I got a text first thing in the morning from course manager Steve Robinson very depressed at the state of things. I replied that it wasn't good, but at least it was better than this time last year!
12 months ago these two had the course to themselves!
The 5 Club competition was rescheduled for the 25th March - I think there was some confusion over the tee times - you will need to rebook for the 25th March Friday at 5pm, the times will not be carried forward.
New in store this week
The new PowaKaddy Range arrived in store this week, with upgrades across the range. New colour screens and more features, but the best benefit of the whole new range is the lithium battery now comes with a full 5 year guarantee.
Five years trouble free - now is the time to change your troley, if you are still carting round a lead acid battery, come and take a look. The base FW3i model with lithium battery starts at £449.
The range topping FW7S with an in built GPS will arrive in April and I see this as being the best option as now you will never forget your GPS, or run out of battery.
Come in and discuss the options and talk to us about a trade in.
New telephone system
A four man team AMAM on Saturday, forecast is for the weather to keep improving during the week, but please be prepared as we have had a carry only policy in place this week. There has been a new telephone system installed and there have bene a few teeting problems with the course information line, if these persist do not hesitate to call the shop for the latest information.
Have a good weekend.
