Invitation Day

Chris Brockbank and his guest Gerwyn Bryan blew the field away in invitation day with a fantastic score of 46 points to win by three points from three pairs on 43 points Grant Nicholson & Jordan Tattersall, Rory Wilson & James Gribbon and Paul Fullerton & Colin Roberts.

James Burnett brought former member Dave Robinson hot from winning down at Wakefield's invitation day and blistering front nine of 23 Points took the prize for the best front 9.


 

Captain's Day

This Saturday is Captain's Day, there is space for one player at 8.44am so be quick if you want to play. There are still a few spaces left for the evening function so again call the shop and we will get you names down on the list. I will be at Gibraltar for the "Beat the Pro" all in aid of The Captain's Charity this year which is the RNLI.

This year in conjunction with Callaway if you do manage to beat me you will receive a sleeve of Chrome Soft balls, as well as entry into the raffle to win a Callaway bag so go easy on me, my Callaway Staff Contract could be on the line here!

We also have extra prize this year of £50 to the person who can guess how many steps I will take during the day.

I am going to walk with every group (56 of them to save you counting the start sheet!) and then at the prize giving the closest to my FitBit's record steps £50. We also have a Captain's Day Special on the FootJoy DNA shoe which normally retails at £150 and for Captain's weekend they are now only £99.00. A fantastic shoe which I wear myself and at £99 is an absolute bargain.

Come along and be fitted for the right wedges and putter, Titleist tech staff will be here along with Eddie and me. We all know it's where the scoring is made around the green so come along and try for yourself. 


   


After the great weather I think it's going to be a bit cooler for Captain's Day but looks fine, so have a great weekend - think my feet might be requiring a soak come Sunday!
