Pete storms to victory... Past Captain Pete Wilson obviously picked up some good tips while helping out as he stormed to victory last Saturday in the August Stableford. He scored 40 points even with a penalty shot on the 16th hole due to hitting himself with his ball! Ian Botterill was second with 39 points with a fine 22 points on the back nine. Stuart Santon continues a really solid season winning Division one with 38 points, playing the back nine in two under par. It was a Callaway Apex 1-2 in Division one as Richard Brown was second, with both Richard and Stuart having been fitted for new Callaway irons this year. Right I'm off for a bit of kayaking and then fly to Winnipeg to join the team to try and win the MacKenzie. I think we've got a really strong team this year and if we can't win it, we surely must beat Alwoodley and get revenge for last year! Hope the weather is better for the rearranged R&A Trophy on Saturday. |
