Par's your friend A new format of competition on Saturday of Par’s Your Friend was met with mixed response. Some people loved it and some felt they never came in, and were just picking their ball up. Well they obviously were as the first group were round the 15 holes in less than 3 hours, so it achieved one of its objectives to quicken the game up. It certainly was to the liking of Matthew Reed, Robert Allison, Elliott Kay & Michael Gwilliam who scored 72 points pipping Philip Murtagh, Steve Batty, Joe Hendron & Graham Hunter on count back. Three of the previous weeks winners Shaun Gorman, Mike Weston & Peter Mooney, continued their good form with 71 points recruiting Nick Spencer this week in place of Dave McCartney. Christmas Shotgun Hopefully we will finally get the Christmas Shot-gun played tomorrow. Click here to view the tee draw.
It is a huge field with only 17 holes and one of those being an extra par 3 – I would ask everybody to be mindful of pace of play. |
