Andrew Garnett started off like an express train to be 2 under par after seven holes in The Hutchinson Salver on Saturday, he kept his composure to score a 76 gross nett 68 to win by two shots. Richard Jackson and Neil Webster continued their good form both scoring 70, which produced an exceptional score reduction (ESR) on their handicaps. This is triggered when a player produces two rounds of -4 against their handicap in a 12 month period. The Golf Committee agreed that they would adopt these recommended ESRs and review the process at the end of the year.
In the meantime the aggregate positions with one qualifying round to go are getting very close.
The top 3 from Division One and the top 2 from Division Two qualify for next year's MacKenzie at the Meadow Club in California.
