Saturday Stableford Unfortunately the downpour on Saturday morning scuppered the course preparation and tees times had to be moved back, so the Stableford became a non-qualifying competition. Nearly 50 people ventured out and it was yellow tee Stableford specialist Rob Allison winning again, beating his playing partner Michael Gwilliam on countback. Dave Ellis took third place, but more importantly, took family honour beating Joe and Jack! Jack did manage a third-place also in division two behind another junior Thomas Stephens and a not so junior Jack Cooke!
Club match vs Ilkley The decision was made on Saturday to postpone the Ilkley match on the Sunday and that certainly proved to be a good decision. The match has been rearranged for Friday 18th October when we will be trying to wrestle the cleek back! It's hotting up
With just two more competitions left to qualify for the aggregate and the chance to go to New Zealand for the MacKenzie next November, things are hotting up. A good round by many could see them leap up the standings – watch this space.
