Well don’t hold your breath but with a bit of luck we might be out golfing four the first time in four Saturdays. The course finally opened last Monday and though there is still some snow laying in the shaded areas, the only reports I have had this week is that the course is in fabulous condition.
The ladies lounge has been transformed over the past few weeks and is another piece in the transformation of the clubhouse over the past few years. A new boardroom table has been added which makes it a beautiful meeting room. So if any members are looking for a venue for a meeting, look no further than your own golf club. The table can also be broken down into three separate tables making it a perfect setting for some private dining. Pop your nose in next time you’re at the club.
I continue to be busy with lessons and fittings in the studio – it is always nice when members contact me to say how pleased they are with the clubs that I have fitted for them. I received these texts recently from members:
“That driver is brilliant!!” Martyn Robinson
“Martin, the new woods are fantastic, more distance with them all and miles more confidence – they feel brilliant” Gary Young
The new Callaway range should be in shortly so if you feel it’s time to start enjoying your game more, get booked in for a fitting and hopefully you’ll be thinking your new clubs are brilliant too.

The new Pro V1 and Pro V1x arrived in store this week – Titleist’s strapline is “the difference is everything” The main difference is a softer cover on the Pro V1 giving it more control around the green. Our testing in the studio is showing that the cover is also much more durable than the previous model. But the only way to tell is to try it out. So I want 12 customers to try the new against the old one and then tell me in 50 words what difference you noticed if any. Click here and the first 12 replies will receive a new and old Pro V1 to test.
