New member Christopher Brockbank won the extra medal from the white tees on Saturday with a nett 65. Tim Barley finished second after scoring a one under par 70 gross nett 68 beating Stewart Laws on a count back. Graham Etherington won the yellow tee medal with a nett 70. There was no change at the top of the aggregate with Marcus Shepherd hanging on to top spot overall with Steve Kirk second. In division two Martyn Robinson scored another round below his handicap to cement his place at Royal Melbourne in the 2016 MacKenzie, finishing top of division two at 5 under. I will let you know the full MacKenzie team once Richard Brown has contacted everyone and they have all confirmed.
The final of the Sydney Groves was played on Sunday with David Robinson and Rod Fisher beating Simon Stephens and Mike McCarthy.

The new Titleist AP1 and AP2 demo irons have arrived in the studio along with the new 916 hybrid and are all ready for fitting. The biggest difference with both irons is the increase in the amount of tungsten in the heel and the toe, making both models far easier to hit. First hits with the AP1 show a huge increase in distance over the previous model, with yardages on a par with the Callaway XR's that were so successful this year and the PING G30 the No.1 selling iron in the UK. But don't take our word for it come along and have a try for yourself and see if technology can improve your game.
